Title

John Bannister House

Description

Image of the John Bannister House located in Middletown, Rhode Island.

The design of this large frame house has been attributed to Peter Harrison and there is a similarity in siding between the Bannister House and the Redwood Library. The siding on both structures has been sanded and has a rusticated appearance. The house was demolished in the 1950s, however, the stair hall and parlors are preserved in the Winterthur Museum.
