Historical Note: The Metropolition Sewer Commission was created in 1933 per Rhode Island Public Law Chapter 2018. The purpose of the commission was to investigate and report to the Governor on the feasibility of establishing a metropolitian sewer district to consist of the cities of Providence, Pawtucket, Central Falls, Cranston and Warwick. A final report was due to the Governor by December 1, 1933.
