This series contains the Attorney General's advisory opinions and findings on legal issues raised primarily by various state officials. Includes the opinion of Hon. Charles F. Stearns as to the proper method of punishment for murder, with statistics prepared by Honorable Andrew J. Wilcox (Warden of the R.I. State Prison). Also includes the opinion of Johnathan K. Farnum, et al. v., 1982 and the Attorney General's Open Meetings Public Records Findings, 1996.
This series also contains the Attorney General's report on the Access to Public Records Act & Open Meetings Act for January-July, 2013. It also contains advisory opinions of the Attorney General for the same time period in relation to the Access to Public Records Act and the Open Meetings Act. Also included are samples of procedures and forms related to these statutes.
