Bernard Jackvony was lieutenant governor of Rhode Island from 1997–1999. He is a lawyer and holds a bachelors degree from Bryant University, a masters degree from Boston University a and a law degree from Suffolk University.
He served for a time as Rhode Island Republican Party chairman, starting in 2000. Jackvony made an unsuccessful run for governor of Rhode Island in 2002.
