The Rhode Island Health Planning Council reports consist of various reports created by the Council and its various sub-committees on hospitals, agencies and non-hospital facilities. The Health Planning Council reports also include survey findings.
The Advisory Hospital Council was established by Executive Order 18 on June 30, 1965. Better known as the Health Planning Council, its membership included governmental and non-governmental representatives. Its purpose was to provide advice to the Department of Health's Division of Health Facilities on the State Plan for the Construction of Hospitals and other Health Facilities.
Scope and Contents: This series consists of reports from individual hospitals prepared and submitted to the State Health Planning Council by a Project Advisory Committee of each hospital. The reports include discussions of each hospital's plans and objectives, p[oposed services, facility plans, and a description of the kinds and levels of service appropriate for the state's population. The reports also discuss cost issues.
